I can't help but secretly hope that there is more to the story: The author of the blog post we just read is actually the one who did not write the app. That the original app author is at this moment trying to figure out a credible way to say "No I created this app". Really, how clever would a preemptive "you stole my app" claim be to steal an app from someone!
Actually I don't really hope that, but I would find it far more entertaining.
"Now, even though the new application is basically anonymous, I still occasionally glance at the messages that are posted — basically as a QA measure, to make sure that it's working correctly and nobody's posted anything that has broken anything."
Is it normal for facebook app creators to monitor the data streams for 'messages of interest'?
I realize there are a number of cultures in the world, but Gcof-Kayode Horhlarnreignwerjoo Aliyu-Afg? Is there a culture where any of that name makes sense?
"G like Golf, C like Charlie, O, F like Frank, hyphen, ..."

dear author: I'm sure your privacy policy exempts you from any wrongdoing, but dude, wtf. You're also probably in violation of facebook's terms: "For all other data obtained through use of the Facebook API, you must obtain explicit consent from the user who provided the data to us before using it for any purpose other than displaying it back to the user on your application."
