If you’re ever in the position where you have to market an app you’ll soon discover actually just getting users to commit to installing something which they’ve never heard of is a massive hurdle - compared to clicking a link in a browser.
This sounds like a great idea. Effectively fitting in two "days" in each 24 hours. Then you're swimming every other "day" and the days in between you can do your other activities.
Never had a problem with SES deliverability personally. You do get the odd end-user email address on the suppression list but that's not often. I've only used their SMTP set up though, no SDKs or anything like that
