The currency (and the meme it is "based on") is somewhat attractive, its silly image made me laugh, and mine for a few days, getting 120 000 or so Doge. If enough people think it funny enough to use, and of low enough value to actually use instead of just hold, it may have a future as a low value tipping currency. Your aarondfcoin lacks that funny easygoing silly meme power, I belive.

I have successfully used localbitcoins.com, using National Bank Transfer. Use their escrow service. Note that you probably do not want to sell to people through paypal (they can easily reverse the transaction), nor to people though other easily reversible payment services.

I have used localbitcoins.com a few times to buy bitcoins, and have been happy. Remember to use the site's escrow though.

Please note that if you add a small electric motor to your bike and use that as a help getting up hills, you can bike mostly anywhere, flat or not.

I'm someone else who would love to cycle, but live in a very hilly area ...

Some problems with this: Electric bikes are expensive (like £2000 vs £200). UK Government regulations make the status of electric bikes dubious, particularly the more powerful ones needed to ride up hills. If no one else can afford to cycle or is allowed to cycle, this prevents a mass of cyclists which would make the road a bit safer.

I'd really love for there to be both government will and a solution to the price problem here.

A mayor-supported electric bike hire scheme for Muswell Hill in London suggests that they're legally ok: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-24651760

Remember that the low unemployment in Norway means that it can make sense to take a severance package, and get another job immediately, and thus get 2x pay for months.

The article states that Dropbox store the files themselves on AWS, and the metadata about the files on their own servers, many of which use SSDs.
