Well I think best move would be staring a trade union in discord, to aid eath other. We strong in unity.

I've been released 2 years ago and no I've been unable to find a gig. No one would reply lol. I m doing open source projects, ai and indie games. I've got more stress Cred than before. I think getting back to Normie workforce in police state such as us is impossible. Peace man

it really sucks. If I had known I'd lose my jobs the way I did each time, I would never have applied to begin with. it was really traumatic each time, and very sudden. it PTSD'd me, not that I have any shortage of that. But just the way everyone gets when you go from "everyone knows you and respects you and likes you" and suddenly it's ... uhh ohh. everyone being quiet. is this... again?

yes. yes it was. and I just can't do that anymore. that isn't living, it's dying.

Lol what are you talking about?

If you have something to eat and a working pc and stable internet connection you can make the way. That's a hard lessons learnt in startup years. It's the same

I'm not sure what you mean by "make the way" and your working pc and stable internet connection seem to trivialize the pressures and very real limitations someone has while on parole and then subsequently after getting off parole.

I started playing piano in 2018 and now it's part of my daily routine. I would recommend this to folks how are looking where to invest time to. Mastering an instrument takes years, but it's progress and dopamine.

Same here. There even is some progress (there should be after this much time invested, but this is easily the hardest thing I have tried to master in my life and I'm already resigned to not ever getting as good as I would like to be). It's a lot of fun too!

There’s a plateau (or a few plateaus) that are hard to break through without huge effort when learning an instrument

Vallhall awaits them

I'm curious whether AI aligns with startups. IMHO it does not well. It aligns with academia where time flow differently.

Business then takes what an academia produces -- i.e. papers / methods / algorithms and implements it to generate value for customers.

It doesn't align with startups as well in case if you have a method and require a lot of compute to produce a model -- you need capital for compute and that's not a typical garage startup.

I'm really curious whether there is any opportunity left for YC-sized startups in AI.

I lot of really cool developments happen on github -- but again that's open source, not ventures to generate money.

it's all forked

There is something fundamentally wrong with this world, obviously. I'm standing the same stance for lat 8 years.

Agreed, there is a lot wrong with this world ;) But what do you mean or how relating to the article? That you are in that stance? Or expectations of others? Please explain.

I have experienced a major schizophrenia for 5 years starting in 2015 and since that I never attempted dating or having interpersonal relationships. Now it's a part of my personality.

I won't go in detail though. I don't feel any negative emotions or have any thoughts about that as I'm using antidepressants to shut down the libido.

After some biohacking I feel a competitive advantage in social realm and view this as a gift. There's non-compete for women, no social racing for status, and it all boils down to fundamental values. That's super christian catholic way of life, and I'm fine with it now.

What I was expecting initially is that someone will check on me, but that never happened.

Neural differential equations are also easier with jax. sim2real may be easier with simulator where some of hard computations are replaced with neural approximations

Not only vectorization, but the plethora of environments written in jax. Hopefully someone will port MuJoCo to jax soon

There is Brax, a differentiable physics simulator written in Jax. It includes Gym tasks such as Ant, Humanoid and more: https://github.com/google/brax It is not full MuJoCo but a good base to add more features. Aside from position based dynamics (xpbd) it features motion in generalized coordinates using the same accurate robot dynamics algorithms as MuJoCo and TDS (Tiny Differentiable Simulator).
