People are in the loop, this is just a way of taking existing analysis and giving it a different tone. The military deals with a lot of potentially-incorrect info already to great use - no reason this extra source will be bad to have too.
Why would it? Unverified and probably incorrect info is currently used, why would this change that process. The military is smart enough to not put all their eggs in an LLM.
Can you think of any country or empire that survived by not keeping up with military advancements? War is a thing, sad as that truth may be, and working on your countries defense is not a bad thing.
Have you considered trying to organize such a group? Set up discord, invite your friends you know, ask them to invite their friends of a similar age, then share it on HN to make it a little more global :)
Well I was hoping to take the easy way out and someone would have done it already. But I'm not averse to setting something up. I'd like an old school forum type thing - but then worry about spam and moderation. Still it is probably worth doing
I think it's a good idea to start with your old work friends. Having a closed community might feel great (vs open "Internet" community) but it worked pretty well for me. Plus, your friends will appreciate the setup too.
Yes you can - stick to whole foods and cook reasonable portions. Mediterranean dishes are easy and healthy to cook. The rest of the world can do it, so can America!
Sounds like you might be going to the wrong bars/places? I'm late 20s and already married but have friends who are single around my age. My local places are late 30s - 50s with a few people around my age but if my friends want to meet girls I take them to different places where they tend to be a younger crowd (early - mid 20s). If you don't want to drink, you could check out gym classes too - some have decent social circles built around them.
More than that I’m wondering if I’m just living in the wrong places. The place I live right now is generally more associated with retirees, but I’ve never really made a conscious choice to move somewhere. I’ve just drifted where job offers take me.
I've had the same thoughts as you - I've heard from chefs the thing you should do is take a part time job working in a kitchen to double check you enjoy it. The pay is awful, the hours are long, and if you lose interest in cooking you may kick yourself. You could always take a sabbatical between jobs and attend a culinary school in Europe which would be awesome?
I found it very difficult to do things like rich text boxes for a ChatGPT clone I was writing aimed at being child friendly. Ended up giving up when it became a bit spaghetti-ish and after the documentation stopped being useful beyond hello world apps.
Cofounder of Pynecone here - thanks for the feedback. We’re prioritizing improving our docs and example apps in the upcoming weeks and will have a ChatGPT clone example. Definitely want to improve the onboarding experience and showcase these more complex use cases.
That’s awesome - it looks like a really interesting project. Would you be able to address the specific criticism raised by parent, on rich text boxes? Is this a case of a documentation shortfall, or something more fundamental?
We want to support any UI feature that you can build with React/NextJS. We will expand our core to include components like rich text inputs but we also have a way to wrap any React library so you're not locked into the components we provide: https://pynecone.io/docs/advanced-guide/wrapping-react
Hey! Don't take my comment as too negative, I do like the idea & enjoyed using Pynecone right to the point I got stuck. Best of luck improving it, I'll definitely circle back in the future
I worked in a team that modeled with state machines and it was useful but I was the most junior member at 7 years experience
