Beekeeper Studio - open source database management app - https://beekeeperstudio.io - https://github.com/beekeeper-studio/beekeeper-studio

I need remote part/full time folks to help with the following:

============

Marketing / Growth

Write blog posts, email sequences, landing pages, ads, videos, etc. Must be comfortable with Markdown and HTML/CSS. Goal: Help increase signups & conversions, reduce churn.

============

Support & QA

Test the application, respond to customer requests, help triage GitHub. Write automated tests. Opportunities to do other stuff like coding / marketing if interested. Goal: Help our releases be rock-solid.

============

Location preference: Global! If you're in Latin America I can pay well and that's perfect for timezone overlap.

Ping me: matthew [at] beekeeperstudio.io

How many hours are you looking for QA support each week/month, if it’s part time? I’m interested in extra hours if it works!

2048 is fantastic, and going full time on your project is a huge milestone. Congrats!

Hey! I run Beekeeper Studio.

Here's why I price like I do:

I can't keep the lights on with one time payments, period. I just don't make enough money.

However as a consumer I prefer them.

My compromise is a subscription that provides a permanent benefit after 1 year. Access to any version of the app released in your subscription period. Forever.

I think it's really fair, and when I made the change I saw an immediate uptick in sales.

Renewal is still opt out though. Defaults matter.

Automatic like for including Beekeeper Studio :-D.

Do you think this would work as a bug reporting solution for a desktop app using electron?

I make beekeeper Studio and struggle with bug reports being very vague

I'd love to chat to you - what's a good email to get in touch?

Hey! I'm Matthew (at) beekeeperstudio.io

Signed up for Beekeeper Studio, no idea how well it performs for a desktop app written with electron and vue.js, but we'll see!

First two code reviews show no feedback.

Congrats to the PopSQL team. Similar thing happened to Arctype about a year ago (acquired by ClickHouse), although at a much smaller scale.

Still small, independent, and profitable here at Beekeeper Studio. :-)

Beekeeper Studio is awesome; more power to you!

No. It supports s0 sleep, not s3. It's my biggest problem with mine. I lose about 1% per hour.

Anyone know why it doesn't support s3 sleep?

Can you ping me to explain 'not saving your connection by default'? That sounds like a bug or a bad UX decision as it does save in recent connections, even if you don't explicitly save it.

YES! That's why I built Beekeeper Studio. Still have fond feelings for that app, especially the pancakes logo.
