This is exactly what I did. The author made an error, which I corrected without any other commentary or name-calling, and which the author then corrected. This is the only guideline which is relevant to what I wrote.

Community and attention to user interface is definitely one of the more striking aspects of Elixir. I've seen José (the creator) stress over unclear error messages that he has no control over and focus design of even the smallest aspect of an API. Often times changing designs multiple times until its right.

That sort of attention to detail is apparent across the board in the language and the community.

I think I have an older version of boot2docker installed or it's in some sort of weird state, because it goes to loading then crashed.

Either way this is very helpful, always hated having that thing running when I did not need it.

EDIT: I know this guy IRL.

It feels like you are using click for touch events. Which causes a ~300ms delay only on mobile phones.

Makes me a little concerned about what other "common" hybrid bugs you've missed. Is this your first rodeo with Hybrid apps or have you pushed them to production?

-----

There's a bug on the hamburger menu that's actually not the 300ms delay but seems like it.

Everything else avoid the 300ms delay. We are using react-tappable[0] as a mixin into many of our components that allows a nice onTap={this.handleTap} usage.

It is alpha. For example, I need to fix behavior that allows you to overflow scroll the entire body, which will require some thought and care in it's implementation, but I've already gotten it most the way there. More optimizations will come.

As far as rodeo's it's not my first with hybrid though, I made a large mobile hybrid site in 2u.fm (now deceased, it avoided the 300ms delay though :)), and with my previous employer's site in production quite a bit.

Not to be rude to a mod, and I am obviously biased for this post but...

https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html

"Please don't submit comments complaining that a submission is inappropriate for the site. If you think something is spam or offtopic, flag it by going to its page and clicking on the "flag" link. (Not all users will see this; there is a karma threshold.) If you flag something, please don't also comment that you did."

It's true that moderation comments break the guidelines by being off-topic locally, but they help the site conform better to the guidelines globally.

I post those links so readers know why a story is being treated as a dupe, and so submitters see examples of how to search for this before posting.

This case is particularly clear: the project (which I don't doubt is excellent work, by the way) has had major attention twice recently, including as late as last week. Normally we look for just one major post in the last year. Please see https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html.

Thanks for the followup dang. Appreciate the thoughtful answer.

Major complaint was about lack of documentation. Here it is :)

-----

Alright, fair enough. This is different because it's the actual documentation.

Also, I just realized that this page wasn't here yesterday. Congrats on releasing!

I've written a custom url shortener for a client.

If they are using it they have the option for AES as stated by the BlueTooth 4 protocol.

Any easy way to check?

Its based on the iOS calendar sync which, since ios7 has had many many issues with non-icloud calendars. Its essentially useless with google calendar.

There are a couple companies in the wild using Elixir. Once Elixir hits v1(August is the estimate) it will change less week to week and will be more suitable for production usage.
