The Recall product has come an incredibly long way since then, with that first check I was able to hire my CTO who completely transformed the product and today I am so humbled and grateful to be able to be able to take what was my passion project to ease my own knowledge management frustrations and create what have i always imagined to be a solution to my inability to recall information when I need it most.

It is a ChatGPT wrapper behind AWS Lambda. We use gpt-3.5-turbo model.
The extension sends the text of the commit message to Lambda. Lambda asks ChatGPT to grade the text for politeness, constructiveness, and agreeableness. The score is the average of those 3.

The reason for this is to provide you with the flexibility to send emails from your own domain and to review the message before it gets sent.
We are planning to integrate with LinkedIn and SMTP to automate the email sending process. However, as of now, emails are sent manually by the users.
When you save a knowledge card to the Recall app it is stored locally in indexeddb in your web browser. We have a syncing engine that is used to sync between devices and for back which also stores your data in the "cloud". Right now, its not e2e encrypted.
