Software Development?

But if the client has a specific requirement, nobody else will have coded the same thing.

Maybe in some cases you can link together some open source projects and pretend you did a lot of work.

So what happens when a package on npm depends on a package on Github registry or vice versa?

The same way it works today when you utilize packages from multiple repositories. Github isn't the first non-npm repository in existence.

What if they clash (eh user/package exist both on npmjs.com and GitHub)? Does it go through each of the configured repositories in sequence looking for a match?

You configure the NPM client on what your primary registry is. I think this github repo will mirror everything on NPM (?).

That will cause crashes between username scopes on npmjs and GitHub

Here is a reddit thread for those having upgrade issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellar/comments/7jf9yq/solving_upg...

I've been along these lines in the past few weeks as well.

Some examples I've come across https://github.com/snipe/snipe-it Uses GNU Affero General Public License v3.0[]

Invoice Ninja (https://github.com/invoiceninja/invoiceninja/) uses an ATTRIBUTION ASSURANCE LICENSE (adapted from the original BSD license).

I hope these can guide you in the right direction

I think the book is http://TheAPIDesignBook.com

https://sourcegraph.com/github.com/laravel/laravel

Sourcegraph has been able to do this albeit with some modifications. So it should be possible

Hi,

I've been looking for something similar for a while. My best find so far is https://github.com/NREL/api-umbrella

Not to invalidate your needs, but this is actually what i need.

P.S I am on a metered connection. I'm a little frustrated by this new age of streaming everything. I would like my movies in my hdd, my music in my hdd, my videos locally. I don't mind buying an external storage device if i run out of space.

A smaller response time actually leads to more requests from customers IMHO. Customers are more likely to contact you for "mundane" tasks when they are assured of a quick response.

This might be true. When I worked at a helpdesk, I was given praise for having the fastest call times on the floor. In the same review though, I was critiqued just as strongly for not being personal enough. It was and telling.
