Hello ChatGPT

I'll take that as a compliment

It really did read like a trivial claim made by a backlink blog spammer.

Can you explain the navier stokes equation using a simple analogy? I will tip $20 for a good answer

I'm pretty sure someone who has accumulated deep knowledge and expertise on NSE gets paid a lot more for their time. Unless you're talking about ChatGPT computational time?

I would use it if the LLM they used were better. It keeps inventing files that don't exist. If I could just provide my GPT-4 API key so it can use GPT-4 I'd be happy.

They use Claude 2 as AI backend with a 100K context window. In my experience Claude is better at programming than GPT-4 because it has a much younger cut-off date and because of the context window to process knowledge. Halluzination happens with all LLM's.

Highly recommending filing issues on their repo if you have anything reproducible. I've had several bugs I filed get fixed this way.

Awesome. The repository is at https://github.com/sourcegraph/cody for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Is it better than Abletons Audio-to-MIDI Converter? The issue with Abletons is if I play fast piano pieces with chords that have many notes it messes up the timing and the notes. It also gets velocity of the notes wrong.

I read this book as an introduction to cryptography. Very well written. More understandable and easier to follow than any other texts I've read on cryptography.

We talked about why Flash died, App store algorithms, the future of browser games and how their Flash game Flipside was played over 100 million times but made almost no money.

That’s so cool!

Thanks!

Thanks! So many developers loved the animation heavy Flash workflow.

Hi everyone! I wrote the article. It's great to see it shared here on HackerNews. The people buildings today's tools and technologies are exactly the people that I want to reach!

So many developers still feel like Flash was the most amazing thing that ever happened to them in their creative careers.

For building today’s platforms and technologies, it is important to remember what made Flash great, but it is at risk of being forgotten because Flash will no longer be supported after December 2020.

I’d like to spread the message to influence and inspire the next generation of tool creators!

Hey, I loved the article! One comment is the animated header backgrounds are pretty jarring for people with sensitivity to motion when trying to read. Would there be a way that you could add a button to pause the animations? I think it would make the meat of the article much more accessible.

You are right. It's only in the beginning, but it can still be annoying. Maybe it would be better without the screenshake from Canabalt.

Or maybe make it follow the browser's prefers-reduced-motion setting?

a wonderful webpage. thank you very much for it. fountains of kudos.

Thanks!
