A couple of friends of mine are building Firstparty - https://firstpartyhq.com - the idea is to serve the analytics code/cookie from your own domain (hence, first party). I've been using them for some of my websites and mobile apps. The reporting is nascent at the moment, but it is being built at a fast pace.

Thanks Chad!

CTO and cofounder of Firstparty here, just wanted to mention our trial comes with 1,000,000 events free so if anyone wants to kick the tires it should be free for a long time for projects that don’t do a ton of web traffic, and we would love your feedback.

In the course of building an app, I ran into many brick walls and learned way too much about Core Data, iCloud sync, Collection and Table Views, and Diffable Data Sources.

There is documentation for each of those individually, but I could find no clear and simple example project that ties them all together in a neat little bow. So I wrote this example starter project to help others who want to accomplish the same thing.

This should certainly work already if your iPad and iPhone are logged in to the same iCloud account. The stickers should sync automatically when you launch the app on the other device. Please let me know if it's not working for you!

Great, thank you! I will look at the Telegram API/SDK.

Hi HN, I hope you will enjoy this app. I was inspired to make it because my daughter likes to make little doodles on my iPad, and I thought it would be fun to add a "sticker" effect so they stand out better against a solid background... then I thought it would be fun to turn it into a Messages sticker app; next thing you know Sticker Doodle was born.

I launched the app with translations in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Arabic, Japanese, and Chinese. Everything is stored and sync'd with iCloud, and there is full support for dynamic text sizes and light/dark mode. I took great care to make it an app everyone around the world could use and enjoy.

I'm happy to answer questions or take feedback! Lots of features and updates already added to the todo list :)

Very cool app. My kids will love this. I will be unlocking it for them nice work on the family sharing.

When I sent the sticker to another device it showed up as a broken thumbnail, is there something else I need to do to make the sticker show up on the divide I send it to?

hmm, is it possible to send me a screenshot of the other device (to the email in my profile)? it could be a couple different things happening, easier to diagnose if I can see.

Brazilian Portuguese is huge too.

Would it support Messenger?

FB Messenger doesn't support custom stickers (that I'm aware of). If it does, please let me know!

Thanks! I worked pretty hard to keep out all the cruft that lots of apps seem to have now. I wanted it to be used all around the world, so I wanted to be respectful of everyone's data limits and ensure it could be easily downloaded by as many people as possible.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback!

Yeah, the photo tracing experience is the most contentious part of the app. Lots of similar feedback from lots of people. I will be improving that in the coming updates. The zoom/pan is definitely tricky b/c it conflicts with the drawing gesture, so panning isn't the easiest thing to accomplish. Again, planning to rethink how to make that better.

You should be able to long-press a sticker in the main view and get the same options menu for copying/etc.... does that work for you?

I'm also planning on supporting other messaging services like WhatsApp, Signal, Telegraph, etc...

> You should be able to long-press a sticker in the main view and get the same options menu for copying/etc.... does that work for you?

Ah, you’re right, it does work in the gallery view, just not in the detail view where you end up after creating the sticker.

Was it me??

Yes :) I almost forwarded the comment to you lolz!

I made https://xbm.jazzychad.net as a simple online XBM image editor for use in various Arduino projects that use those little oled displays. It was also an excuse to learn React a few years ago.
