I had a GREAT super shuttle experience years ago https://medium.com/this-happened-to-me/supershuttle-gave-me-...

That is, in fact, roti telur! you can fold in a variety things into roti canai:

- roti bawang (onion) - roti sardin (canned sardines) - roti pisang (banana)

I had a roti pisang at home in KL last month and nearly wept at the impossibility of finding this anywhere else.

Cool, thanks for confirming it. Good to know about the other variations of roti canai. Hope you find some of those items you like in other places eventually :)

Yes, that would definitely be ok! The microcontrollers included in this index are a function how we rank them in the Octopart search index, which reflects some element of "top-selling" but probably not adequately so (i.e. your point on the 8086 is a good one).

Regardless, we think stock indexes are indeed are good role model for this kind of exercise. If there's interest in this we might invest in: (a) continuing to track this with better documentation on how we do it, and (b) start tracking more categories of parts.

Email us at contact at octopart.com! Let's see if we can do something even better together.

Ha! I, too, loved Excel deeply, though Google spreadsheets finally won me over a few years ago.

Most users we spoke to swear that they'll move off Excel eventually, but still want an Excel add-in today. It was a tough product decision to prioritize a platform that people seem want to stop using, but continues to be so entrenched.

Thanks for the support! If you'd like to tell us more about how you use it email us at contact@octopart.com

Most of my workday takes place in Excel. What about Google Spreadsheets made you switch?

it was a function of my usage of spreadsheets changing (didn't need to build large financial models anymore) and Google Docs coming up to par on basic functions, combined with collaboration and storing in the cloud. Switching to Mac basically ended my love affair with excel (all the keyboard shortcuts I knew so well didn't work anymore)

Any chance of a docs/Apps script version?

Yes - people don't ask for it nearly as often as Excel but enough for it to make our list! If you're interested in beta testing whenever we get to it, drop us a line (contact@octopart.com)

It is terribly crass, especially when rumor and conjecture about the pilot's personal life (no newspaper of any repute has verified this) is used as a basis for these remarks.

This particular rumor is less vicious that the ones about him being a political fanatic, or a Muslim extremist, but no less sad a reflection of how far the press has fallen.

Given the facts of this case thus far, you might be overdoing it with the outrage. Of course details of the lives of the pilots are being poured over given that every indication includes one of their involvement.

Not outraged, just disappointed with the state of reporting. While I might not agree with your theory, I don't disagree with the need to pore over the crewmembers' backgrounds, or the plausibility of your overall point.

What bugs me is just one point that is not fact. Would you consider reading this: - an NYT story on the pilot's background and how it got twisted out of shape by tabloids (http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/03/19/pilot-of-missing...), and - a WaPo story with a named source who clarifies that his wife "moving out" was her normal practice of staying with their grown children whenever he flew (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/agony-mounts-for-familie...)

- and see if it changes your point of view? or at least, how you might describe the pilot's state of mind the next time you share your thoughts?

Chris has been a longtime supporter of our mission to open up part data for hardware hackers at Octopart, so we know how much of a passion project this is. Congrats!!

Here's the recap of the hardware hackathon that Electric Imp hosted last month on the Firebase blog: https://www.firebase.com/blog/2013-12-19-electric-imp-hackat...

The Double does NOT keel over that easily. I've crash tested it many, many times.

maybe it was hitting the inclined surface of the podium? I can see it staying upright after smacking into a wall, but then the tall lever-arm has something to push against.

Aw! Tokbox is only as good as the applications people build with it. Thanks for using us.
