A nice thing about Deepseek is that it is so cheap to run. It's nice being able to explore conversational trees without getting a $12 bill at the end of it.
The models feel pretty snappy when interacting with them directly via ollama, not sure about the TPS
However I've also ran into 2 things: 1) most models don't support tools, sometimes it's hard to find a version of the model that correctly uses tools, 2) even with good TPS, since the agents are usually doing chain-of-thought and running multiple chained prompts, the experience feels slow - this is even true with Cursor using their models/apis
My town combatted this by allowing free parking on the bypass on both sides. Now it is practically a single lane road and you will hate every second you spend on it if you don't live there.
I have some rural Duo customers and we always end up having to dial up the timeouts because it can take longer than a minute to receive a push notification in some areas. One of them has told me that duo is the only 'notification thingy' that works because the other implementations won't wait long enough.
4. Somewhere on the billing management screen there should be some easy to figure out way to cancel.
Details will vary but in general cancelling logically makes the most sense as part of payment management, so it belongs where other payment management goes such as adding or updating a credit card.
If the site wants to it would be fine to have a separate subscription management section that is linked to on the account page parallel to billing management. That might make sense if it is a service where there are options users can add to or remove from subscriptions.
For example a streaming service might have separate paid options such as higher video resolution, more simultaneous streams allowed, removing ads, and adding specialized content (e.g., porn, foreign language videos).
That wouldn't really belong under billing so putting it in a separate subscription management section would be better, and then cancelling would best fit there too. Billing management would then just be managing your payment methods.
Wherever the site has a link to "Subscribe" or "Upgrade" there should be a link to "Manage My Subscription" and that should take you to someplace where "Cancel" is easy to find.
All moving parts degrade. A nice thing about machines is you can service and refurbish them to like-new condition.
There are options to deal with your shitty knees, hip, and back, but none of them get you back to 100% of your original capabilities and, carry an element of gambling, and will involve the kinds of painkillers that can ruin you far more comprehensively than a shitty joint will.
It's funny/sad how even firefox is making it worse now. I tend to browse youtube in firefox because the youtube app is such a pain, and doesn't have tabs and other niceties. And then only view individual videos in the app because the player works better and it's nicer to interact with comments.
But for a while now firefox has been asking every single goddamn time whether I want to open this page in the app instead. With the only extra option to always in open in app. What about no? What about never?
A thing about the site is that comments not threaded or ranked.
When the site started getting a reputation you had a lot of tourist beggars coming in fishing for free labor. NYPA is about getting those people to stop cluttering the place with garbage.
