I had a total of 11 views but only 5 are from CA. Good God this is an anxious moment.

Thanks for pointing out the bug with the filtering. I appreciate it and will fix it right away! Airbnb is amazing and I totally agree with you that we need a verification tool. That is something I have been looking into but in the mean time I thought it would be good just to get the site out there. I don't have tons of time so I have to pick and choose which features to add carefully so it all makes sense. If you have any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for the advice. I was considering cold emailing haha. I did get one response that which was great but I was hoping there was another method to reach out to them. I realize that they are incredibly busy but I also heard that they are also really cool. Many people have said that they (for the most part) into helping others.

PG, our startup is in phase 1 but on my application I am going to be pitching phase 3. My question is when you see the demo site it will only have part of the functionality that I am pitching. Is that going to look bad? Should I just do a video or ppt about phase 3?

I am not sure if this pertains to you or not but what about using someone’s social media presence as a tool to promote the articles. For instance lets say Mike posts some content on your site and Mike has an okay Facebook following of about 800 friends and about 200 followers on twitter. Then lets say Sam does the same thing but he has 4000 friends on Facebook with a few hundred subscribers and 3,000 followers on Twitter. I am not sure if this would work with your business model but if Sam gets picked for his submission I think the publishers would like to not only know his social media presence but also see him send a tweet saying “I just wrote and article for XYZ Mag check it out here somedomain.com ” and then doing the same on Facebook. I also think that makes him far more valuable as a content creator. This is just a random thought do what you will with it.

As far as actually answering your question… I agree with everyone below me. It was hard to understand what I was looking at immediately which means I would probably not stick around to find out.

Check out Klout.com you could work with their API and include that into each content creator's profile.

The first guy I met through a friend. I met the second guy while I was a project manager on some application at work. He was a contractor on the project and we had great chemistry. If you have an idea and you find someone that is as passionate as you are about it, I'd say that's a pretty good start.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
