I avoid cloud based stuff. Though I use GitHub Copilot largely because it's from the early days and it's a great tool (and my employer pays for it). But otherwise, local LLM or gtfo.

That stance alone will keep me far away from it.

Depending on the language, personally, I haven't seen a great deal of hallucination with the models I use (llama 3.1 often). I wouldn't expect, say Spanish, to be a problem. I think you'll find more potential issues when it comes to more domain-specific terminology.

Well that's okay, then!

Didn't seem like "vibe coding" was something to actually take seriously.

"...and its leftist views..."

Aaaaand you lost me.

I don't mind pf leftist views, but there are no others, this is strange

Yet there's nothing stopping you from making a screenshot of a post and linking to the original post, with commentary. Just saves a step, I suppose.

Agreed. It's just decreasing the friction, which increases the velocity.

Personally I want a filter that blocks out 'screenshots' and other 'images with text in them' because these are frequently part of hateful memes.

(Organic pictures of a book cover or a sign that somebody built in the physical world don't bother me so much but could be faked pretty easily in this post-modern age so I might accept filtering those out too)

If I'm going to be involved in something like this I'm sure as hell not bringing my daily driver phone. Get serious. Grab a burner, go in expecting it to get discarded or to fall into unfriendly hands.

It's absurd. "If you have to ask... then it's not for you!"
