Simplex had the advantage of being on the store day 1, had Plex had their app on the store day one I'm not sure I would've downloaded Simplex.

Nice to see this on the App Store.

-----

Day 1? You mean Friday 10/30? I think that was the official "launch" date. I ordered my ATV4 in the middle of last week (and was surprised to see they weren't out yet), and it arrives tomorrow.

I'm gonna call Plex close enough to "day 1".

-----

Especially given that discovery on actual day one was so poor (no categories, no charts, limited features) that anything not featured was going to struggle a bit. Our app was written up a couple of times alongside Simplex but missed out on a feature despite getting an artwork request and only had a few dozen sales.

-----

There was only one app showing up in search for the word plex. I'm sure that helped too.

-----

I ordered pretty much minutes after it was available and it delivers tomorrow. Friday delivery required extra 17$, probably not opted by most.

-----

what was simplex? just another developer that built an app to talk to plex servers?

was curious when i saw that on the app store what it actually did

Simplex is a Plex client. Quite good, actually.

> even going extra miles and telling users not to use misogynistic words on their channels.

That's... that's... wow. Just wow.

To exclude any labels you can use -label:css. Works with most other filters too.

We deliver these emails in the user's time zone so you'll receive it at 9am local time and have something fresh to start the day with.

-----

I'm also an advocate of receiving the email sooner. Why not send it shortly after midnight in the users timezone so it sits in the users inbox when he wakes up.

At 9AM I'm already at work, had 2 cups of coffee, finished my morning tech news and started getting in the zone.

-----

Ideally the user would choose the time the mail gets delivered. I have to have my phone on during the night in case of emergency and there is nothing more infuriating to me than a company that sends me email in the middle of the night, causing my phone to beep and wake me up.

-----

Take control of your phone: use an app like Tasker to set up profiles to silence notifications except for ones you specify, like phone calls and messages from certain numbers.

As another Spanish based worker, a little earlier would be better - at 7, say, something to read over breakfast. But that's a very minor complaint!

The author is talking about application/rate_limit_status which is also rate limited. The headers are great if you keep track of them from the response on your other calls, but if you want to see your rate limit status across all endpoints you can use:

https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/get/application/rate_li...

-----

You can disable it with:

  boxen --no-fde

-----

Deleting and recreating your repo isn't necessary. If there's a problem with your fork not showing up, let us know and we'll look into it.

-----

Yup, exactly.

-----

The streak is just the number of consecutive days that you've contributed at least 1 thing to a project on GitHub.

-----

I have daily commits to a main branch of several of my projects but I'm on a 0 current streak.

Also, damn, the disparity between my public and private profile is huge. Imma gonna commit more to open source!

-----

Looks like this is doing exactly what it's supposed to, then!
