This is pretty cool and useful. I actually might adapt it to aid me in tracking projects around my dirt bike, similar tracking events.

Might have to start mimoto...

Because people get blinded by dogmatic ideologies that chastise them for going against and/or questioning any position held by given side.

It's all or nothing.

I've noticed this as well, past couple of years it has turned into more panel/ytuber focused, less about the actual projects showcased on the ground floor. Not to mention, it is pricing out many from attending.

I've been recently going this route, everything is static. If I can't host them on an S3 bucket, then I'm building it wrong.

Sites are way too bloated nowadays, a lot of the content being served can be static and cached.

This is the right attitude. The amount of people who's world crumbles when they get banned and heavily depend on its engagement and income is too high.

In terms of Bluesky/Threads, etc. When a platform's intrinsic value is that, "it's not the other platform", it won't last or will only track very niche and closed-off groups. What does Bluesky offer that is unique/different?

Federation, as the post mentioned, is something the average user doesn't care or is beyond their comprehension. Too much friction as it is implemented, the best way is to organically and transparently implement it, if it's even possible.

I use one for my Synology UPS with no issues, has saved it multiple times and is able to gracefully shutdown when switched to battery for x-minutes.

I agree. I now see both extremes(horseshoe) and in-between as much. While before it was heavily leaned towards the left.

This made my day. A lot of memories... thanks for sharing.

It's interesting that some of those sounds are not unique to Mexico City, or Mexico.

Can also include motorcyclists/cyclists, which aren't necessarily considered "athletes". Maybe "recreational use" might had been more apt.

Really wondering if this can be combined and standardized through ECE 22.06/SNELL/MIPS. ECE is probably the best bet for testing something like this, SNELL is too strict in its testing experimentation.

Many people here missing Carlin's point about "soft language". Think more on the examples of forcing oneself, either by choice or by social factors.

suicide -> "unalive" homeless -> "unhoused"

I absolutely hate these terms.
