The regular/cloud chats are not e2e in the first place. e2e chats are opt-in at the moment, by the name "secret chats".

That option was not available for group chats last time i checked.

I had added a text to the `url` field when creating this post, but it appears it's not included. Let me paste it below.

I have started to follow Hacker News more than ever, and a few challenges that I have are: no dark mode, when creating a discussion, there is no easy way to add new lines (no multi-line input field), hard to identify OP's comments in a thread, etc. In other words, I am generally wondering if there are extensions out there to improve the default HN experience.

What do you mean? The text field on https://news.ycombinator.com/submit is five lines and scrolls if you add more lines.

Oh, thanks! I was using the bookmarklet to create text posts. The submit link that you shared does seem to have a multi-line input.

I set it up on my Raspberry Pi 3 at the start of this year, and I am thoroughly finding it useful. I wish I had done that earlier.

Came across this really interesting read today, and wanted to share it here.

Which websites would you define under social container?

I'd redefine it as a "mega-website/tracker container", to limit the scope of those sites that get seemingly everywhere. That would include the social networks but also the likes of google and maybe amazon.

Mastalab on Android seems to do the same now, based on recent release notes. But, I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Thank you for building this list! Always wanted a dark mode on Slack, and I love this hack. I have now set my Slack on "Low contrast" mode and it's not being hard on my eyes.
