Those interested in going to Japan to work, or to start a company should know that, especially in Tokyo, it's not necessary to be a salaryman, or to speak that great Japanese to start a company there. I ran a successful media business with over 30 staff there there for 14 years. There are many, many Japanese who are outside the salaryman system who are happy to work on new and exciting projects, and it's much easier than ever before to get projects off the ground.
