Google Maps URLs could sure use some help. But I don't know that street addresses are a great naming system. If you want to use lat/lon, many open source tools like Polymaps, ModestMaps, and Leaflet (with the leaflet-hash plugin) support updating the URL automatically on navigation. (No "click here for URL"). For example, here's a clean URL to a map app that describes the base layer, zoom, and lat/lon: http://maps.stamen.com/#toner/12/37.7706/-122.3782
