The "STOP SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY ON HELICOPTERS AND MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS" line reminded me of this piece, from the excellent Armando Iannucci Shows:

Funny thing is that I was a consultant before, and was brought into a company to look at their procurement decisions. And lo and behold, they actually had a helicopter. Needless to say, we said to get rid of it.

Other than that, the first two paragraphs made me think of my own startup, and how we can get users to engage more often and get more users. Immediately transported me into the head of our main users, and I had to message the developers on the team for thoughts.

Great post, and thanks for sharing!

This is surprisingly entertaining.

That show was great. Not as well known as it should be because it had the bad luck of premiering on 9/11/2001.

Ianucci also made The Thick of It, which you should really watch if you haven't seen it. One of the best pieces of political satire ever made.

If you haven't seen Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister, you really should. 30 years on and still great political satire.

There's some fantastic parts like the bit about leading questions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0ZZJXw4MTA

+1 for The Thick of It. Which is, miraculously, free to watch on Hulu (at least in the US).

Elephant in the room indeed.

I hadn't actually made that connection!
