Experienced Linux engineer/developer (DevOps) at early-stage big data YC startup
1841 days ago | hide
Interested in building a cloud-based big data analysis service? Believe in DevOps? Care about building a solid business around innovative new technology? Come join us. We have a culture of DevOps, and our goal is to provide a robust service that never requires a human to use ssh.

We are an early-stage, stealth-mode company changing the nature of data analysis. We focus on simplicity: everyday business users no longer need to work with data gurus to extract insights. Instead, they point our cloud-based analysis service to their data and get insights immediately.

We need solid programmers that are very familiar with deploying linux systems. We want people that enjoy programming and like fiddling around with setting up systems. You should be comfortable writing large amounts of code in a modern scripting language as well as have (banged your head against) set up many linux systems. Experience with things like Chef and Puppet are a big plus. Experience with network programming and distributed systems is a big plus. Bonus points for C/C++ experience.

We're located in Palo Alto, near the Caltrain, and help with relocation to the Bay Area.

If this sounds exciting, drop us a note at bigdatayc@gmail.com with a resume, profile, or background info. We will get back to you, and tell you more about us.
