Ask HN: What's the best site to get feedback on code / concepts?

I see many fully-fleshed-out ideas submitted to HN which are summarily ripped apart by the savvy HN population. It seems to me that if programmers had an opportunity to get feedback early on, and throughout the development process, many of the mistakes we tend to see in mature projects might be avoided.

http://codereview.stackexchange.com is expressly for this purpose, but the site is still in beta and there is not much of a community to speak of.

Apropos: I wrote a small proof-of-concept query language for nested python dicts. I'd love early feedback on syntax, features, etc, but it seems that HN prefers finished products, and I don't know where else to turn...
