I usually agree with you but 1) they provide the full text of the memo where the NYT didn't and 2) they bring up a different angle that the NYT didn't address: the final paragraph of the memo: No punting — we can’t keep building nanny products. Our products are overrun with filters and punts of various kinds. We need capable products and [to] trust our users.“ That is potentially an edge for them although how they manage any outrage from inappropriate Gemini responses is still a question.
