Brilliant.org | Software Engineers | Remote (North America), SF, NYC | Full-time | $175k — $230k | https://brilliant.org

Brilliant is building world-class interactive learning experiences that combine challenging problems, compelling narratives, and delightful visual storytelling.

We're hiring for a number of engineering roles to help craft the next generation of interactive learning and change how the world learns.

Engineers at Brilliant think about both "building the right thing" AND "building the thing right" while pursuing high standards of excellence for ourselves, our product, and our codebase.

If you're energized by the prospect of doing the best work of your career and changing how the world learns alongside the most talented peers you've ever worked with, you can learn more and apply here: https://brilliant.org/careers.

Is “North America only” a visa thing or a timezone thing? No chance of hiring a remote UK worker who can work with substantial overlap with NYC hours?

Timezone! Definitely feel free to apply if your workday can fully overlap our "core hours" of 10am to 3pm PT.

The product and job descriptions here always sound amazing! The only thing stopping me from clicking submit on application was focus on using AI tooling in software development workflow. I am not against copilot, but I don't find it that useful.

Is there some kind of equity or profit-sharing, in this default-alive startup?

The Web site has a lengthy discussion of its "First and Best offers" for salary and bennies (ok), and mentions that there's no bonuses (ok), but I can find no mention of stock/ISOs/RSUs/etc.

Yes, we provide meaningful options grants to all teammates (standard 4 year vest with a one year cliff).

Hey, I don't see any roles that align with my experience but I think I have something to offer. Is there any mail I can reach out to?

Feel free to shoot me an email: jared.silver@brilliant.org
