Show HN: Built This in 3 Hours Using Bolt (No React Knowledge) (kanishkdan.com)

It's blowing my mind that I could build an app from scratch in 3 hours and deploy it with the click of a button - without writing a single line of code myself

CacheNotes is a browser-based note-taking app that saves your notes, threads, and AI conversations securely in your browser's local storage

100% free. No login required.

You get, - simple, minimal note taking app in your browser - no login required - you can connect your claude api key for the ai integration - visualise notes and twitter threads

Check it out! Would love some feedback :)

If I used your app and found a bug, who would write the code to fix it?

If I wanted an authoritative answer about some technical aspect of the system before I decided to use/pay for it, who would be able to answer it?

1) I would / the AI would, in bolt you can directly edit the codebase 2) Building an app from scratch with AI was just a cool fun experiment, I'll never charge for using this

That's gonna cause people to lose their notes when their browser clears local storage. It's not meant for persistent data.

Edit: Sorry, didn't mean to be so negative. It's cool that AI can build so much these days. But that just jumped out to me.

Yep true, it's not mean for persistent data. I just wanted a simple, minimal note-taking software that didn't require logging in.

Though if there's any interest from folks, I could probably add a google sign in plus a backend service to store data (apart from the local storage)

What's Bolt? A search claims a ride sharing service, a Disney movie, and some shopping thing.

https://bolt.new/ "Prompt, run, edit, and deploy full-stack web apps." according to them.

I prompted Bolt with a very simple task that I've spent years of my life developing (a specific scenario only possible via browser automation). Bolt invented a plausible, but fictitious, API on the third party to call.

What does it mean to visualize a Twitter thread? Seems like it's just a few text input boxes?

yeah exactly that, I wanted a simple visualisation of how my twitter thread would look like it before posting it.

The AI helps on the side with the writing part in the same window.

website is called - cachenotes.kanishkdan.com

(I didn't realise HN wouldn't show the subdomain next to the title)

Can someone make a tool (maybe with Bolt) to help me filter out AI-generated apps from my HN feed?

The hero we need will write a tampermonkey firefox script that'll hide any HN post that contains the following keywords:

- in X Hours

- With no knowledge

- no code

- AI, Sonnet, GPT

This is what happens when the barrier to writing applications is zero, and the levee hasn't even BEGUN to breach yet.

Hahah sorry. It was just meant to be a cool, fun experiment with AI.
