Ask HN: John Wick's Gold Coins on Blockchain

Is it Possible to Build a "John Wick"-Style Gold Coin Economy on Blockchain?

I’m not sure if it’s even possible, but I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a "gold coin" economy like the one in John Wick using blockchain tech.

In the movie, one coin pays for any service, from cleaning up a mess to getting specialized equipment. So, how could this work in the crypto world?

Some thoughts:

Universal Value: Each gold coin has the same value regardless of the service provided, whether it's hiring an assassin, getting medical help, or using specialized facilities.

Exclusivity & Trust: The coins are only used by members of the secret society, representing trust and membership within this underworld. Possession of a coin implies you're part of the network.

No Direct Monetary Equivalent: The coins don’t have a direct correlation to any real-world currency.

If anyone has ideas on how to make this a reality or any related projects you've seen, feel free to share! And if you'd rather not discuss it publicly, shoot me an email at coin@shivamshinde.com

Curious to hear what people think!

That does not make any sense. "Please bring home 1 pizza." and "Please bring home 100 pizzas." have very different value.

Yup, exactly the problem, looking for solutions.
