OpenAI Is a Bad Business (wheresyoured.at)

"OpenAI... a company that has never turned a profit, that has no path to profitability, and has yet to create a truly meaningful product outside of Sam Altman's marketing expertise."

This reads as a take from someone who has never talked to a developer, never used AI, and frankly never been involved in tech.

This is an unserious take.

No, it's a non-technical take. The comment is about business achievements, and it is factually correct, from that lens.

Developer here, have been for 2 decades. I tried AI extensively, both in coding and more creative endeavors (even paid for ChatGPT for about half a year)

I think the author is absolutely right.

I find it correct. As a senior developer and getting to review a lot of code from junior developers it can oftewn be seen they used "AI" and it is not only bad it is harmful and detrimental. Just more problems and increases the workload.

The question is when the model can make money from advertising.

If the ai is asked to recommend products, does it show an ad or even an argument for paying for some product.
