Coinbase knows it's facilitating trades for fraudsters. Almost all crypto coins are a scam - if not all.
I don't know why it's been so hard to classify crypto tokens such as Ethereum as securities. If existing laws don't work, just make new ones. Clearly, this industry is just scamming society.

I don’t disagree with your assessment of the 'state of the crypto union', but if you were a cypherpunk with all the resources at your disposal, would you still pursue a decentralized currency protocol? And if so, what would it look like in your ideal world?
