Legalist (YC S16) Is Hiring a Skunk Works Hacker
30 days ago | hide
Looking for an engineering role that’s more than just coding? If you’re someone who loves solving complex problems, thrives on critical thinking, and has an entrepreneurial spark, Legalist is hiring a hacker for our Skunk Works Team. This is your chance to blend your technical skills with business strategy, ideal for engineers who see the big picture and want to make an impact beyond the screen.

Legalist is an institutional alternative asset management firm. Founded in 2016 and incubated at Y Combinator, the firm uses data-driven technology to invest in credit assets and manages ~$1B AUM. Our Skunk Works Team is our "startup within a startup" that incubates new strategies and spins out new ideas for implementation across the company.

We're looking for a hacker to join our team. It's about building smarter, not building more. You’ll be working directly with one of the founders to shape strategy for the business as a whole. Day-to-day, you'll primarily work on extracting and enriching data from diverse sources.

Your job is to be pragmatic and strategic, understanding that technology is a means to an end. If you're aiming to be a future founder, Skunk Works is the place to start.
