Are we really getting to a point where Windows is so bad that "emulating" software made for it is faster than running it on the real thing?

Yup constantly amazed by this. And how even more faster properly made and supported native GNU/Linux games are, like Paradoxes grand strategy games for example. Gaming would be so much better if we could only get rid of Windows.
