It’s interesting that this USA election year is the first time that all parties have a stance on Bitcoin.
* Republican: Trump gave a speech at the Nashville Bitcoin Conference last week and posited the idea to keep the roughly 200.000 btc that the US government currently has in permanent “strategic reserve” , see also: https://tennessean.com/story/money/2024/07/27/trump-nashvill...
* Democratic senator Cynthia Lummis was a speaker at the same conference. She mentioned that the legislation that trump proposed is already in the making (this link refers to it), as she waved this the paper in her hand.
* independent candidate Ronald Kennedy jr. was also a speaker at that same conference and he has basically the same idea as Trump: to keep the current coins but also buy many more. See https://www.kennedy24.com/bitcoin-conference
