I would love to work for Automattic. I have been making highly customized sites with WordPress since the early days (I still maintain a WordPress site established in 2005). I applied for an open position not too long ago, and I breezed past the initial screening, but I just couldn't make room in my life for the "trial" part of the process--I have a full time job, a five year old, and a side business. I wish my 20 years of demonstrable comprehensive experience was enough to get my foot in the door. Le sigh.

Can someone explain why would a company ask for this:

- Please list all current and past job titles that are relevant to this position.

and

- Please list all current and past companies that you've worked for that are relevant to this position.

Specially if you're already uploading your resume? Should I include the names of all the companies I've worked for, again?

Hey Matt - question from a fellow Matt -

I used to do a ton of WordPress development... like ten years ago. I've been looking at picking it up again, en route to moving into more of a full stack situation - for devs like me, without a lot of recent experience with the latest and greatest version of WP - is there anything you'd look for to reassure you that I wouldn't have any trouble jumping in and picking it back up again?

hi Matt, many years ago I was interviewed for the systems engineer position and got feedback the team found someone else that was a better fit, which is totally fine. However, I've reapplied to this position every time it gets re-posted but never even got a non-automated reply. Automattic is a great company and I wish I had another shot at it :)

Yeah, this is a fake listing. Illusion of growth.

Hey this seems to be interesting: The website you linked is blocked in Indonesia.

use a vpn; also they probably don't want indonesians applying

Ahh, another month, this listing is back again, and I still haven't heard anything. Likely fake.
