It's unfortunate that such propositions sell so well though. I love Hillel's conclusion here, it's so easy to say this is how the world should be and then suddenly everything would be fixed! In practice, there are no silver bullets and we can talk about how the world could be but should is a total wash.
Sadly, I have found that making such assertions get you pretty far. Perhaps people want to believe that all their problems are just a wand wave away and are willing to pay for it? I guess it's a nice premise. After all, placebos still work.
