Any programmers here also play instruments?

I have no current practice, but at times I have played the recorder, clarinet, piano, saxophone, electric guitar, electric bass, mandolin, and various synthesizers. If you tend more toward lumping than splitting in your definition of an instrument, you might add "DJ controller" to the list.

To de-stress, I play jazz rock drums with my feet (actually I play the whole band at once); see e.g. http://rochus-keller.ch/?p=1268

Clarinet! I go to community band rehearsal every week and perform with them

Piano (keyboard) and Guitar. (Western classical training + pop songs)

I have also learned an Indian keyboard instrument called Harmonium. (Hindustani classical training)

And I love trying out new instruments :)

The smartest programmers I've known have also been good at math and music alongside code.

Because I am not of their caliber, I play no instruments.

Cello! In fact, a few years ago I quit my software job to study cello full time in a masters program.

Trombone! I joined a couple of community bands and they are always something to look forward to

Yes, I play acoustic guitar, fingerstyle mostly. Have been playing for a few decades now.

Used to play piano, can probably pick it up given a few months.

I play the keyboard, in particular the Keychron K10 Pro

Piano, also used to play violin

clarinet, saxophone, flute, percussion

Synthesizer

guitar, bagpipes
