Life is such a bizarre thing. Billions of years pass in a universe beyond human comprehension. Then a baby is born and the spark of a person slowly takes shape. A few short decades later and that spark fades as the body becomes unable to sustain it. Afterwards, trillions of years may pass in this universe.
I consider myself an agnostic, but a fantasy I allow myself is that simulation theory is true, and that souls are real, which is possible under simulation theory, because it would allow for information about the physical world (like the physical structure of someone’s brain including memories) could be stored outside of the universe in some type of database. I’m not saying I believe this but just considering it as a possibility is something I like to think about.
Yeah I’ve thought along those lines as well. Almost like the multiverse is on a trajectory shaped by an infinite accumulation of decisions over trillions of years. And that would also provide a basis for a form of reincarnation ( if there is no actual data transfer then any past life memories would just be coincidental)
I wish our sparks could endure.
