Well this is tremendously confusing. I 100% thought this was going to be 'ERB' related...



Yeah, but it's probably unavoidable, the term "ruby" used in British typography is 200 years old [1].

*Update:* Oh and it's interesting, "rubi" was used but the W3C recommendation from 2001 made "ruby" more common as spelling.
