Ask HN: Is your Facebook feed chock full of AI images of mutilated children?

Because mine is.

Seriously. Promoted post after promoted post of nightmarish images of children with missing limbs or boils, usually Indian looking. The even more bizarre thing is that in every single one they are holding up a sign that says “Today is my birthday”.

Each has 100k+ likes and hearts and thousands of comments mostly saying “happy birthday”.

Are other people experiencing this AI apocalypse of their FB account?

Wonder if you're being targeted due to location, age, race, something. Might just be the algo, but you could also meet some advertising criteria.

Last time I was on Facebook (last night before bed) the answer was "no". I haven't seen anything remotely like that so far.
