Ask HN: Best "AI" learning resources for SWEs?

I read Bishop's book on Machine Learning back in college over a decade ago, and haven't touched "AI" since. I'm wondering what resources are out there for SWEs who have forgotten all their calculus, but want to stay relevant in the near future.

"Deep Learning" by Bengio, Karpathy's videos on GPT from scratch, 3b1b's videos going over the math and fundamentals should give you a nice grip over the concepts.

After that I feel you would be ready to delve into newer papers and be able to understand what's going on and stay "relevant" as you said.

If you managed to read that book, read the updated version: https://www.bishopbook.com
