Well, they might as well be props. Some companies will sell you something that looks like book, but isn't, just to make your office look good. I have even seen a wallpaper with image of a bookshelf :)

top right looks like an encyclopedia set, honestly I don't think it matters much... this looks like standard CEO office "things no one ever touches"
