When I was at my last company, I was the product manager for a multilingual app. Every time before a new version is released, I write 'What's New in this version' and 'Promotional Text' for about 10 languages on App Store Connect. Sometimes the update cannot be perceived by users, but a new version cannot be submitted without filling in 'What's new in this version', so I will copy and paste the content of the old version into the new version.
I hate the mechanical job of copy-pasting 10 languages.
Now, I'm an independent developer maintaining my macOS apps Eye Monitor and Desktop Note in multiple languages, so I often have to go through this pain, especially when updating frequently.
In addition, to do ASO, I will frequently modify and test keywords. However, only the latest version of the record can be seen on Apple Store Connect. I hope to see the record of all versions in history.
So, I decided to make a Chrome Extension that automates copy-paste and save tasks. I called it MagicScript.
Here are the features:
With just one click, MagicScript will execute the script and automatically copy and paste content such as 'What's New in This Version' or 'Promotional Text' from the old version in all languages to the latest version.
It can also auto-save all versions of Metadata such as description, keywords, What's New, and Promotional Text before you submit the version for review.
Hope it will save you time too. And if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
