I remember reading something about this back in the 2010s. I have several friends who were vegans and one telling me he was struggling with a decline in being able to remember small details like addresses and numbers.
With that I told him to start supplementing creatine monohydrate to see if it helped. Sure enough, it did. He is a whip smart coder so he was worried something worse was happening. He now eats eggs and fish
Unfortunately, I don't think the vegan diet is good long term because of this.
Nothing new really. Also, it’s not really this study that found this, it‘s the original studies that this meta study is based on. Are people in academia actually still doing original research? (sorry for the rant)
Just like any other research. I'm assuming good faith and some sort of quality control in this context. If you can't assume that, then you can't really trust any research.
