This story just adds another data point to my growing belief that I want to minimize or ideally eliminate any further signing of contracts, forms, applications or other legal paperwork. "The big print giveth but the fine print taketh away." Every document you sign has the potential to become a minefield to be exploited by lawyers or unscrupulous types. Minimize your exposure to that as much as possible.

Contracts can protect you too, just don't sign anything you don't 100% understand.
