Didn't the NS some other alphabet company create and then open source SHA 256 encryption? Isn't that the encryption scheme BTC uses?


SHA256 is just a hash (one-way function), not an encryption scheme.

And Bitcoin is more than encryption. It's a consensus algorithm which still functions correctly under the assumption that the participants are untrustworthy.
