In these slides, Icelandic type designer Gunnlaugur SE Briem begins by enumerating some basic steps to improve one's existing cursive handwriting. There follows an overview of historical handwriting styles and an argument in favour of the Italic handwriting revival begun by Alfred Fairbank in the early 20th century. Finally, there are some steps for learning this superior style along with tips for left-handed people.
