He should go to University of Texas: plenty of top students and faculty, a great climate and he'll fit in fantastically well. And it's far enough away from home to allow him some independence.

Google is great but the world will never forget he doesn't have a degree.


Degree is easy at that age, or next decade. Plenty of people get one online or distance learning.

Experience is hard, and if google hires you at that age - you take it and figure out what distance program you do.
