One of the main things that’s been keeping me away from Bambu was the reliance on their cloud system. It’s also completely proprietary, which, while it works well, is annoying.
The reason I haven’t gotten a Prusa Mk4 yet is because the input shaping stuff looks… mediocre at best, is incompatible with hardware modifications, and because and there is no webcam/spaghetti detection by default.
Bambu making a printer that can be run fully offline, with heated chamber with air filtering (that’s another 500€ with Prusa, without heating)… supporting Prusa is getting harder and harder.
Bambu is still proprietary, so that’s still in Prusa’s favour.
Josef, can you please make a CoreXY heated enclosure printer? I’d gladly give you a handful thousand dollars for that.
They list some plastics as "Ideal" for the X1C and "Superior" for the X1E, seeming to imply that superior is better than ideal. Such are the wages of marketing hyperbole, it can leave you with no way to express an improvement.
I don't think I'm going to make the leap into color printing until they offer a print head that actually does CMYK color mixing, and not just color swapping between a small palette.
