Hey HN, I recently bought a Razor laptop and put Ubuntu on it. After the initial set up I couldn't get the microphone to work. In the process of running a microphone test I saw that the domain itself was for sale, so I decided to pick it up and make a website that did exactly what I wanted. Hope you enjoy the simplicity of it. If there is any other suggestions please let me know

Thanks. I was tempted to build this since Windows has no decent microphone test (other than voice recorder!) and the other online ones are crappy.

Here is my feature request:

* It records your voice for 3 seconds

* It stops and plays that back

This tests your microphone, speakers, microphone quality and levels, audio quality and levels, internet connection all in one go.

Done, although it's rudimentary at the moment, but I added in your feature and a quick text explaining. So basically now if you start a test it records for the first 3 seconds and then displays a download link for the first 3 seconds.

Thanks, I must say once I got the mic working I also had fun testing the microphone to get the modulation graph to behave that way.

In Chrome (116) and Safari (16.5) on Mac the microphone button is shifted up and only the bottom of it is visible. Still works though.

Fixed; That explains a lot, what I get for only checking in Firefox.
