A lovely friend of mine took her own life without an AI telling her how. Muzzling an AI on this topic is as meaningful as the empty "help is available" message that search engines offer. There is a mental health crisis and it has nothing to do with AI, and creating cheerful AIs won't solve it either. That's not commentary on whether or not censoring an AI is a sensible idea, but I do resent the framing that has been selected.
