I’m not sure how that made it here, but I wish there was an HN for music. Interview was fun, but I’m definitely going through and creating a playlist of everything he mentioned…


It's all on YouTube, I checked :) most are listed as Disco Mix and on the label you'll see the famous "A Tom Moulton Mix".

I need to cross reference to see if he'd invented/discovered the 12" single at the time of this interview.

Unearthing a ~47 year old article that discusses the use of early computers in recording/mixing is a big deal. This is the first time this article has been freely available digitally on the web.


For reference, $5 in 1976 is roughly $28 today. An evening, first-run movie ticket would cost maybe $2.50 in NYC in 1976.
